Nate and Juliet are both back in school, after some fits and starts. They started earlier this year, the week before Labor Day instead of the week of it.
But three days in, Wednesday, September 1, the schools closed early for the impending remnants of Hurricane Ida. It didn’t actually arrive until hours after school would have ended anyway. That evening we received notice that the schools would be closed on Thursday as well, due to the many impassable roads and other damage Ida left behind.

Friday was a scheduled day off, apparently due to the Labor Day holiday on Monday. No school.
Monday was Labor Day. No school.
Tuesday and Wednesday were Jewish holidays. No school.
Back to school on Thursday and Friday, the 9th and 10th of September. Jokes were made on Saturday about how thankful the children were for the weekend after such a grueling week.
Monday the 13th arrived without incident, as did Tuesday and from what it seems, today as well.
Tomorrow is a Jewish holiday. No school.
